Presentation of EHPAD

EHPAD "Les Jardins du Canalet" is a local public institution, with 46 dependent residents aged over 60, managed by a board of directors, chaired by the mayor, and a director. The establishment is governed by law no. 2002-2 of 2 January 2002 reforming social and medico-social action and article L312-1 al.6 of the social action and family code. It was authorised by decree on 04/01/2017, and signed its first tripartite agreement in 2010. The establishment is authorised to receive people in receipt of social assistance.

Services

Services vary considerably from one establishment to another. However, EHPADs must provide their residents with the minimum services defined by law:

• Administration services
• Hotel services: Provision of a room with access to a bathroom and toilet; maintenance and cleaning of rooms, during and at the end of the stay; maintenance and cleaning of common areas and communal premises; maintenance of buildings, technical installations and green spaces; provision of connections for television and telephone access; Internet access within the establishment.
• Catering services: Access to a catering service; provision of three meals, a snack and an evening snack.
• Laundry services: Supply, fitting, renewal and maintenance of flat linen and bathroom linen
• Social activities: Access to group events and activities organised within the establishment Organisation of external activities

Other services may also be offered by the establishment: care of the resident's personal linen, hairdressing services, etc.
