What is it?
This formality certifies that the signature on the document corresponds to the identity of the person who signed it.
Where?
Applications must be made at the town hall.
Prerequisites
- The applicant must sign in the presence of the authorised employee.
- They must prove their identity (national identity card, passport, valid residence permit).
- The document in question must be written in French and must be legal, in the public interest and comply with administrative rules.
- No private document may be authenticated as a signature
- No authorisation for the loan of vehicles abroad will be legalised
Signature authentications are no longer carried out on documents that are only of private interest.
To prove an administrative obligation to issue the document: present the letter of request from the organisation requesting it.
