By ministerial decree of 24 September 2024, published in the Journal Officiel of 19 October 2024, the Commune of Villeneuve-les-Beziers was recognised as a natural disaster for 2023 due to damage caused by differential ground movements resulting from drought and soil rehydration.
A state of natural disaster declared by ministerial decree may entitle policyholders covered by their insurance policy to cover against material damage.
Claimants have 30 days from 19 October 2024, the date of publication of the decree in the Journal Officiel, to submit a claim to their insurer.
