The decree of 25 July 2022, recognising the state of natural disaster, was published in the Journal Officiel of 11 August 2022.
The municipality of Villeneuve-lès-Béziers has been recognised as suffering from a natural disaster caused by flooding and mudslides for the period from 25 June to 26 June 2022.
As a reminder, the publication of this decree opens 10 working days during which you must submit your claim to your insurance company.
The declaration must be sent to your insurer by registered letter.preferably with acknowledgement of receipt. If necessary, send a copy of this letter to your insurance agent or broker.
You must include the following information in the letter:
- Surname, first name and address
- Insurance contract number
- Description of the incident (nature, date, time, location)
- An itemised list of all lost or damaged items, accompanied by documents proving the existence and value of the items (e.g. invoices, photographs).
- Damage caused to third parties (for example, if a tree on your property has fallen and caused damage to a neighbour's property)
- Victims' contact details, if any
